중국 고서 한비자에서 공자의 제자 중 한 명인 증자의 일화가 나오는데요.
하루는 증자의 아내가 시장에 가려는데, 아들이 따라 나오자 울었어요
'엄마랑 같이 갈래'
그러자 엄마가 '울지 않으면, 시장에 다녀오면서 돼지를 잡아오겠다'고 그냥 약속했는데,
증자가 진짜로 돼지를 잡아 삶았다고 합니다.

한번쯤은 생각해볼 수 있는 일화인 것 같습니다.
오늘 증자의 일화를 생각하며 배울 수 있는 표현은

영어로 어떻게 당차게 이야기할까요?
