1) 단답형을 피하는 게 중요하다.
단답형을 하면, conversation doesn’t flow.
A: Did you watch the game last night? 어젯밤에 그 경기 봤어?
B: Yes I did. 응, 봤어
2) 한 두문장을 더해서 리액션을 주기
A: Did you watch the game last night?
B: Yeah, what a crazy game! I can’t believe we lost.
아. 그러니깐..말도 안되는 경기였어. 우리가 졌다니 믿겨지지가 않아.
3) 대화가 안 끊기도록 “A”의 대답이 중요하다.
A: Did you watch the game last night?
B: Yeah, what a crazy game! I can’t believe we lost.
A: I know.

어디서 경기 봤어?
A: I watched it at home/at a bar.
팁: 주변 환경(날씨/분위기/상대방의 스타일 등)을 잘 이용하면 small talk을 이어갈 수 있다.

그나저나, 너 모자 맘에 들어. 어디서 샀어?
B: Oh I bought it online. 인터넷에서 샀어요.
