[2021.04.14.Wed] 입이 트이는 영어 No-Landing Flights

by Namaskara 2021. 4. 15.

[Speaking] Talk about flights to nowhere that don`t land anywhere.
The extended Covid-19 crisis has put a damper on overseas travel. As a result, “flights to nowhere” that don`t land have been given the green light for one year. Some domestic alirlines are offering flights that take off from Incheon International Airport, circle around a nearby country, and then land again in Incheon. The flights have gotten a positive feedback. Flights to see the 2021 New Years sunrise were sold out in just 5 minutes.

Users book tickets the same way they would before, except that they select the same place as the departure point and destination. They still have to go through airport security, and they can enjoy duty-free shopping up to $600. The seats on the flights are socially distanced, and no one can take off their masks under any circumstances. Switching seat is also prohibited. Some light snacks are provided for passengers but eating during the flight is also against the rules.
