J : Yes, I do. Specially, the one I moved to middle school from elementary school. It was a huge change.
H: what was one of the biggest differences you remember?
J: One of the biggest differences is that I felt like a teenage. I was one of them.
H: Okay.
J: I wasn’t, you know, a little kid anymore.
H: Oh, that’s why you felt it about yourself.
J: I really liked the fact that I was able to, I guess, go to classes and share certain areas and spaces with middle and high school nurse.
H: So you felt like you’re getting older. I mean in a good way,
J: Grade one through 6 was one side of the building and middle and high school was on the other side of the building
H: I see. I think a lot of people remember their first middle school day because it’s very different from elementary school day.

[Speaking] Talk about Entering Middle School
Every year, many students gradaute from elementary school and enter middle school. In middle school, there are a number of key differneces compared to elementary school. School uniforms are the biggest differentiator between elementary and middle school. In grade school, students can freely choose whatever they want to wear. But middle school students are obliged to wear uniforms to school. Classes are 5 minutes longer, as well. Students also first experience the free-semester program in middle school. They take no written exams for a semester, including mid-terms and finals. Instead, the program allows students to explore career options through hands-on education and discussion-based classes.
