I recently visited a clinic because I felt like my eyesight got worse in one eye. I received treatment at a neighborhood clinic for a while, but I wasn't getting better. So, I went to a larger hospital to run some tests.
After several exams, I learned that there was a problem with my tear ducts. I was diagnosed with a condition called "Dry Eye Syndrome." It meant my tears dried up more quickly than normal. This symptom meant my corneas could be easily damaged, so they weren't even. So, I couldn't focus my eyes and my eyesight got worse.
It just so happened that the hospital was running clinical trials related to dry eye syndrome. They told me that my symptoms fit the bill for the trials, and suggested that I participate it. I learned about the procedure, and decided to take part in trials. The hospital had a good reputation, so it wasn't hard to make up my mind.

최근에 한쪽 눈의 시력이 떨어진 것 같아서 병원에 가보았다. 한동안 동네 안과에서 치료를 받다가 큰 차도가 없어서 큰 병원에 가서 몇가지 검사를 받았다.

마침 그 병원에서 안구 건조증과 관련된 임상 시험을 진행하고 있었다. 병원 측에서 나의 병증이 그 시험에 적합하다면서 참여를 권유했다. 절차에 대해 설명을 듣고 나서 시험에 참여하기로 결정하였다. 평판이 좋은 병원이었기 때문에 쉽게 결정을 내릴 수 있었다.
