School Zones are another name for child protection zones. The designation is given to areas with a high density of facilities for children under 13 years old. These include schools or private academics as well as areas within 300 memters of major school routes.

It is a policy aimed at preventing traffic accidents by securing safety areas for children to get to school. It was implemented in the road traffic laws in 1995 and beefed up in 2020.

Cars in School Zones must obey the speed limit of 30km/h. Going over the speed limit, parking illegally, or running a red light in these areas will double the fine and penalty points compared to other areas. A traffic accident in these areas will also result in a heavier panelty. Residents can also report violations using an app.

스쿨 존은 어린 보호구역을 부르는 다른 명칭이다. 주로 만13세미만 어린이가 밀집되어 있는 지역에 지정된다. 학교나 학원 뿐만 아니라 주통학로 반경 300미터 이내 지역도 포함된다.

이 정책은 어린이들이 안전한 통학공간을 확보함으로써 교통사고를 예방하기 위한 제도이다. 1995년도에 도로교통법으로 도입되었고, 작년에 강화가 되었다. 스쿨 존에서 차량은 시속 30km의 제한속도를 준수해야한다. 이 구역에서 제한속도위반이나 불법주정차위반, 신호위반 등은 다른 구역에 비해서 법칙금과 벌점이 두배로 부과된다. 또한, 이 구역에서 교통사고 발생시 더 무거운 처벌을 받게 됩니다. 주민들도 앱을 통해서 위반사항을 신고할 수 있습니다.
