H: What do you think, have you ever imagined having a parrot as a pet yourself?
C: I guess, not a parrot but I did have birds when I was a little girl.
H: You did have?
C: Yeah, more than 10.

[Speaking] Talk about pet parrots
Personal expression is very important these days, so there is a wide variety of companion animals. Among them, parrots are catching on its as popular pet birds. Raising a parrot at home can feel unfamiliar at first, but a surprisingly large number of households are doing just that.
I have two pet parrots at home. Raising parrots comes with a lot of perks.
Unlike dogs or cats, they don't shed fur, so they won't trigger yout allergies. Also, there is no need to walk them. They are quite healthy, without any niggling illnesses, and they don't need to get shots.
Most of all, parrots are as obedient and affectionate as dogs. They are highly intelligent, so you can train them to do tricks. And of course, parrots are well known for their ability to imitate what people say.

요즈음 개성(개인적 표출)이 중요해서 다양한 반려동물이 있다. 그 중에서 앵무새가 반려조로서 사람들에게 인기를 끌고 있습니다.처음에는 집에서 앵무새를 기르는 게 낯설게 느껴질 수도 있지만 정말 많은 가정들이 그렇게 하고 있습니다.
저는 집에서 앵무새 두마리를 키우고 있습니다. 앵무새를 키우는데 많은 매력이 있습니다. 개나 고양이와 달리, 털이 빠지지 않기 때문에 알러지를 유발하지 않습니다. 또한 산책시켜줄 필요도 없습니다. 앵무새들은 잔병치레없이 건강한 편이고, 예방접종도 필요없습니다.
무엇보다도 앵무새들은 개만큼이나 말도 잘 듣고 애정표현도 잘 합니다. 굉장히 똑똑해서 훈련을 시키면 재주를 부릴 수 있습니다. 물론, 앵무새는 사람들이 하는 말을 따라하는 능력으로 잘 알려져있습니다.
