[Speaking] Describe how you have made use of EBS Radio Programs
To me, EBS broadcasts are like an old friend. I first experienced in EBS way back in 1979 when I was in the 10th grade. The station had a different name at that time, and broadcasts focused on subjects for college admissions. Now, I listen to EBS not as a student, but as a middle-aged member of society.
The most familiar programs are language studies programs on EBS FM. I tune in to English lectures for 2 hours each morning from 6 to 8 o'clock, unless something comes up. After so many years, English feels like a hobby, not an academic pursuit. It's fun to learn English expressions for real life topics every day. I even feel a twinge of regret that I've only discovered how funny fun it is so recently. I wish that I'd considered English a hobby in the past rather than thinking of it as a chore.

EBS 방송은 나에겐 오랜 친구와 같다. EBS을 처음 접한 건 그 옛날 고등학교 1학년때인 1997년이었다.
당시에는 방송국 이름도 달랐고, 대학 입시 위주로 방송이 진행되었다. 지금은 학생이 아니라 중년의 사회인으로서 방송을 듣고 있다.
최근 가장 친근하게 많이 이용하는 프로그램은 EBS FM의 어학학습방송이다. 무슨 일이 있지 않은 한, 아침 6시부터 8시까지 2시간동안 라디오를 청취한다. 이렇게 오랜 세월 후에는 영어가 학업이 아니라 취미처럼 느껴진다. 매일 실생활을 주제로 한 영어 표현을 배우는 게 재밌다. 얼마나 재밌는지 최근에서야 알게 되어 안타까움도 느낀다. 과거에 영어를 힘든 공부로 생각하지 않고, 취미로 생각했었다면 좋았을 것이다.
