(1) a lot 많은 <= 가산/불가산 모두 사용
* a lot of [명사] = lots of [명사] = plenty of [명사] = 많은 [명사]
* 실용회화에서 much /many보다 많이 사용됨
* 부정적인 상황과 질문할 때는 many/much를 좀 더 많이 사용하는 경향이 있다.
The company made a lot of money. 그 회사는 많은 수익을 냈다.
He’s very curious about many/lots of things. 그는 아주 궁금한 것이 많다.
I have so many things to do. 나 할 일 너무 많아. <= a little overwhelming/negative 느낌
I have a lot of things to do. 나 할 게 진짜 많아. <= 열정이 담겨 있는 느낌
I’ve heard so many rumors about me. 나에 대한 아주 많은 소문들을 들었다. <= 부정적인 느낌

(2) much 불가산 명사
He has too much time on his hands. 그는 시간이 남아돌아.
