[Speaking] Talk about Eco-Friendly Energy
New renewable energy refers to coverting and using energy from renewable sources like sunlight, water, wind, geothermal heat, and micro-organisms.It also includes reusing energy from fossile fuels like char coal and petro oil which are traditional energy sources. Solar energy uses sunlight and wind energy harness power from wind. Hydropower uses water, and bioenergy comes from fermenting plants and animals. Geothermal engery makes use of underground water or heat from the earth. Fossile fuels pollute the air and emit carbon in huge amounts. This makes them a major cause of environmental pollution as well as global climate change. In contrast, new renewable energy sources create a negligible amount of pollutions. They create lower carbon emissions and they’re endlessly replenishable.

신재생 에너지란 햇빛, 물, 바람, 지열, 미생물 등과 같이 재생가능한 에너지원을 변환하여 사용하는 것을 말한다. 전통적인 에너지원인 석탄과 석유 같은 화석 연료를 재활용하는 것도 이에 해당된다. 햇빛을 이용하면 태양 열 에너지이고, 바람을 이용하면 풍력 에너지이다. 물을 이용하면 수력 에너지이고, 동식물을 발효시켜 에너지를 얻으면 바이오에너지이다. 지하수나 땅속의 열을 이용하는 것은 지열 에너지다.
화석연료는 대기를 오염시키고 많은 양의 탄소를 배출한다. 이로 인해 환경 오염뿐만 아니라 지구 기후 변화의 주요 원인이 되기도 한다. 대조적으로, 신재생에너지원이 배출하는 오염물질은 극소량이다. 탄소배출량도 더 적고 무한하게 얻을 수 있다.
