Print on Demand, or POD, refers to printing designs specified by clients on various items. It's used for simple, everyday goods like T- shirts, mugs, stickers and notebooks, and it can even be applied for cushions, bedding, and furniture.
More and more companies in Korea are offering these POD services. A growing number of artists are also selling products featuring their unique designs.
I uploaded a drawing I drew using my tablet PC onto a POD site, and created a one-of-a-kind T-shirts for my family. At the end of the year, I made calendars and stickers to give out to people I know. Products made this way feel extra-special because they are totally unique.

맞춤형 소량인쇄는 다양한 물품에 고객이 구체적으로 요구한 디자인을 인쇄하는 것을 말한다. 티셔츠, 머그잔, 스티커, 공책 등 간단한 일상용품에 사용되고, 쿠션과 침구류, 가구에도 적용할 수 있다.
우리나라에는 이런 POD서비스를 제공하는 업체가 점점 많아지고 있습니다. 자신만의 고유한 디자인을 선보이는 제품을 판매하는 예술가들도 갈수록 많아지고 있다.
나는 태블릿 PC로 그림 그림을 POD 사이트에 올려 우리 가족을 위한 하나뿐인 티셔츠를 만들었다. 연말에는 달력과 스티커를 만들어 지인들(people I know)에게 나눠주었다. 이렇게 만든 제품들은 세상에 단 하나 뿐이어서 더욱 특별하게 느껴진다.
