[Speaking] Talk about parcel distribution centers
I started a part time job at a distribution center for a parcel delivery company back in May.
On my first day, I was worried that it would be a tough ground grind. I wasn’t wrong. Parcels to be delivered to homes and to large-scale supermarkets, shopping malls, and department stores are dealt with separately at the distribution center. I was assigned to the latter. T he goods were packaged in large boxes and they weighed on an average of at least 10 kgs. I was in charge of sorting parcels on a conveyor belt depending on where they were going to be delivered.
I did this sorting work for about four hours a day, starting at 7 o’clock in the morning. After the sorting was finished, the parcels were reloaded loaded onto the delivery trucks. Then, the parcel delivery workers got to work delivering them to their designated areas. The part time job helped me experience first-hand all the hard work done by the delivery workers.

5월부터 택배회사의 물류센터에 아르바이트를 하기 시작했습니다.
첫 출근날에 일이 너무 힘들지 않을까 걱정했습니다. 틀리지 않았습니다. 물류센터에서는 가정으로 배송되는 택배와 대형 마트나 백화점 쇼핑몰로 배송되는 짐은 따로 분류해서 작업합니다. 저는 후자로 배정받았습니다. 상품들이 큰 상자에 포장되었고, 무게가 적어도 평균 10kg 나갔습니다. 저는 컨베이어 벨트 위에 있는 택배를 배송지역에 맞게 분류하는 작업을 담당했습니다.
저는 아침에 7시에 시작해서 이 분류 작업을 하루에 약 4시간 정도 했습니다. 분류를 끝낸 후, 택배물품을 배송 트럭 택배를 실었습니다.그런 다음, 택배 기사들이 지정된 지역으로 배송을 시작했습니다. 저는 이 아르바이트를 하면서 택배기사님들의 노고를 몸소 느낄 수 있었습니다.
